Dairies (2020) of the Office of Planning, Policies and General Administration states that, in 2018, <strong>Portugal exported 267 million euros<\/strong> <strong>of milk and dairy products,<\/strong>occupying the butter <strong>the first place<\/strong> as the most exported product.<\/p><p>In January 2022, the Monthly Bulletin of Agriculture and Fisheries reported a decrease in the production of milk and dairy products in Portugal, with cow\u2019s milk collection in November 2021, at 144.5 thousand tons, which represented a <strong>redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 1,4%<\/strong> (-0,6% em outubro).<\/p><p>Naturally, the same happened in the total volume of dairy products obtained, with a decrease of 5.1% (-10.1% in October), due to the reduction of milk consumption (-9.1%) and butter (-6.0%).<\/p><p>On the other hand, there was an increase in the production of oxidizing milk (+8.3%) cow's cheese (+6.2%) and cream (+2.7%), while the production of milk powder remained the same.<\/p><p>Apesar da diminui\u00e7\u00e3o na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de leite, <strong>o Portal do Leite e Lactic\u00ednios dos A\u00e7ores vaticina que assistir-se-\u00e1 a uma maior produ\u00e7\u00e3o de manteiga em 2025<\/strong>, superior a 12%, derivado de um aumento gradual da produ\u00e7\u00e3o de leite. \u00c9 ainda referido que, enquanto no passado a valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o da gordura do leite sempre foi considerado um problema, as tend\u00eancias do mercado na Uni\u00e3o Europeia e no mundo reverteram-se, com os pre\u00e7os da manteiga a subirem.<\/p><p>Regarding consumption in Portugal, Atlas dos Latic\u00ednios indicates that butter consumption in the country is significantly lower than the European average (3,6 kg\/inhabitant) being 1.7 kg\/inhabitant.<\/p><p>It is also mentioned that more than 50% of the butter produced comes from Asia and 25% is produced in Europe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"wd-negative-gap elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-8893899 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"8893899\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-45261\" data-id=\"45261\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8503689 wd-width-100 elementor-widget elementor-widget-wd_title\" data-id=\"8503689\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"wd_title.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"title-wrapper wd-set-mb reset-last-child wd-title-color-default wd-title-style-default wd-title-size-default text-left\">\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"liner-continer\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"woodmart-title-container title wd-fontsize-l\">Clarified Butter Market<\/h4> \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9803223 color-scheme-inherit text-left elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9803223\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As far as the market for clarified butter is concerned, everything indicates towards global expansion and growth, and it is clear that consumers are preferring more natural and less processed products.<\/p><p>Besides \u00cdndia, Tibet, Pakistan, Southeast Asia and some African countries where its consumption is a regular occurrence, ghee butter is a widely used product also in Europa (France, Germany and Luxemburg) and South America (Brazil).<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify; color: var(--wd-text-color);\">In 2020, the\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify; color: var(--wd-text-color);\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Raleway',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;\">global ghee market was almost 6.1 million tons, growing at a rate of 4.3%.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify; color: var(--wd-text-color);\">.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Raleway',sans-serif;\">By 2026, it is expected to reach a volume of more than<strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Raleway',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;\">\u00a07.8 million tons.<\/span><\/strong><b>.<\/b><\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Raleway',sans-serif;\">J\u00e1 em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a Portugal, os dados s\u00e3o quase inexistentes no que respeita ao consumo deste tipo de manteiga, apesar disso, a realidade \u00e9 que s\u00e3o cada vez mais as superf\u00edcies comerciais que a t\u00eam dispon\u00edvel para venda por todo o pa\u00eds.
